“Alright” was the only single in Rhythm Nation 1814 that never reached the top two positions on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Despite failing to reach #2, the song became the album’s fourth consecutive single to reach the top spot on Dance Club Songs and helped Jackson beat a record previously set by Madonna.
