“Now and Forever” is the first single in Richard Marx’s fourth platinum album, Paid Vacation. The single is about his wife, Cynthia Rhodes, and the song was the most successful hit in the Adult Contemporary song categories in the US and Canada.

“Now and Forever” was released on January 17, 1994.
The song peaked at #7 on the US Billboard Hot 100 but reached the top spot on the Adult Contemporary Chart for 11 weeks.
It got widespread airplay that made it to the top charts across various nations, including Canada, the U.S.A., Sweden, Iceland, Germany, Ireland, Australia, Norway, and New Zealand.
The song has numerous cover versions done by many musicians and groups, including Kevin Ross, Joseph Williams, Anne Lise, and the University of Rochester’s Yellow Jackets.
The song also has a Spanish version known as “Ahora y Siempre.”
It was Marx’s 9th and last song to reach the top 10 songs on the US Billboard 100 chart.
“Now and Forever” was used in the 1994 movie The Getaway.
Richard Marx began his musical career at the young age of 5 when he began singing jingles for his father’s advertising company. He did work for Arm & Hammer, Nestle Crunch, and Ken-L Ration.
He was discovered by Lionel Richie at the age of 17 and moved to LA shortly after.
Richard Marx’s top record sales hit the 30 million mark worldwide, and he was the first solo artist whose first seven singles topped the Billboard Hot 100 singles by occupying the top five positions.
